Dana Design Big Sky Backpack (Large) - Black/Purple
Dana Design was one of the premium backpack names in the 90''s. Unfortunately, this Bozeman, MT brand disappeared after the owner, Dana Gleason, sold the company. They are sturdy, well-made packs that last. This Big Sky, with 36 liters of packable space, can be used as a larger day-hiking pack, or even for an overnight trip. The specs indicate that the large size is designed for individuals from 5''6" to 6''0", although I would recommend it for anyone 5''8" and taller. It has adjustable shoulder straps to accommodate different length torsos, and it also has a removable padded hip belt, which can be used with heavier loads. I purchased this new at the Trail Head outdoor store in Missoula, MT in the mid 1990''s. It still is a clean backpack that has been only seen light use. The rip-stop fabric, zippers, straps, and buckles are all in very good condition.
